I support the idea that each individual adult American has the inalienable natural right to make the appropriate life choices for him or herself. It is part of the American culture to have personal freedoms.
And the use of Marijuana is one of them. Be it for Medical or recreational. I support it, and each person should have the right to make their own choices about it.
Why I support it:
1. Its a personal choice.
2. It is less harmful then alcohol, tobacco, crack, meth, heroine, whippets, most prescribed medications, Vicodin, and even Tylenol.
3. Its cheap, easy to grow, and does not need additives like cigarettes.
4. Its has done WONDERS for chronic pain suffers. ( such as myself) It helps with nausea, diabetes, Spinal disease and pain.
5. It helps with other afflictions such as : asthma, ADD, ADHD, PMDD, (That is PMS on steroids) PMS, Depression ( yes it does) Anxiety, PTSD, Stress, and most other emotional factors associated with living in this backwards nation of ours.
These are a few of the MANY reasons why I support the distribution and use of M.J.
MJ has had a bad wrap ever since the 20′s. When the Prohibition laws where put in place by a small majority by religious fanatics and governmental officials in it for their own gain.
The use of M.J was “linked” to social break down ( Refer Madness ). 
It was wildly believed (*through effective government propaganda) that smoking a joint would send you spiraling into a blind rage, possibly killing your family, strangers and even yourself.
It was was finally made illegal to cur tale the influx of Mexican immigrants. Yes, the criminalization of M.J has more to do with racist intentions and religious control then ” health and safety”

While I could go on for ages about the evils of prohibition, the waste of 50 billion dollars ( the drug war that has made it easier to get MJ) I feel that it would be best if left to one of the experts.

In the 3000 years of documented use, not a single death has been documented from its ingestion or inhalation ( now I’m not counting acts stupidity,) Not a single human being has died from ingesting, or smoking too much M.J. The person would usually pass out into weed induced temporary comma.
With anything we ingest or smoke, Moderation must come into play. Of course if you try to eat or smoke your body weight in marijuana there will be some consequences. ( You could inadvertently eat the ENTIRE bag of Oreos) Just as there are consequences from drinking too much alcohol, or eating more than your body needs.
With good education and truth, you can foster and raise responsibility. My Truck can go 110 MPH, but I don’t.
